Converging for better care
Life Sciences Industry

Many factors are driving and influencing convergence in today’s life sciences industry. Recent scientific advances and improvements in enabling technologies have opened new avenues for convergence among drugs, diagnostics, and devices. Aging populations and rising consumerism are increasing demand for health care products that offer greater effectiveness and convenience. Shifting industry and market conditions are also creating pressures and new opportunities.

But with these changes comes many issues. How will convergence change patient care? How will the different life sciences sectors work together? What are the legal and ethical issues involved in the convergence?

To help address these issues, Bob Go, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Industry group leader for Life Sciences and Health Care and a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, shares his thoughts on convergence in the life sciences industry in the July issue of Asian Hospital & Healthcare Management.

Learn more about how convergence is affecting the life sciences industry by reading Bob’s interview in the attached article.
