Deloitte Poland's Tax Department has once again won recognition as the country's best in tax advisory services.

Rzeczpospolita, one of Poland's most reputable newspapers, organized the rankings based on information provided by tax advisory and law firms. The paper compiled the study using three major criteria: the number of tax advisors and other people entitled to provide tax advisory services, revenues from tax advisory services and the number of tax and law proceedings that the firm performed.

This is Deloitte Poland's second win this year. In January, the Tax Department was awarded "best tax firm" in another ranking organized by Gazeta Prawna, one of the nation's biggest business dailies. The results of both rankings distinguish Deloitte as the standard of excellence in the tax advisory market.

Deloitte Poland's tax team, led by Marek Metrycki, is one of the largest and most dynamically growing tax advisory groups in Poland. Headquartered in Warsaw, the Deloitte Polish tax advisory network also operates in six regional offices: Poznan, Kraków, Katowice, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Lódz. Deloitte’s tax team entered the Polish market in 1990 and currently employs nearly 300 individuals, including almost 77 tax advisors and 10 legal advisors, who deliver a full range of tax services to the largest companies in the Polish market, as well as to individual taxpayers.

Deloitte’s Polish tax practice is no stranger to finishing at the top of the tax standings—they have been named as the "Best Transfer Pricing Practice in Poland" by Euromoney in 2002, 2004 and 2006, and as the "Leading Tax Advisory Practice in Poland" by the International Tax Review in their World Tax 2006 and 2007 rankings.
