Richard is the lead Partner of Deloitte’s East of England Food and Agriculture Group. He has been with the group since 1986 and played a key role in developing it from a pure farm and estate orientated group to a substantial team serving clients involved in all aspects of the food chain in the UK and overseas. His clients are predominantly privately owned but he advises several multinational entities and is increasingly involved with clients entering corporate transactions as some businesses consolidate and others find new niches or diversifications.

He has a wide range of contacts in the industry and is often asked to speak on finances or tax changes affecting rural businesses. Like many in his team he has a personal commitment to the Food and Agriculture sectors through his own involvement in food production and property activities.
