Ernest Lee, Technical partner being appointed as a member of the Listing Committee of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong

The Capital Market Services Group ("CMSG") is delighted that Ernest Lee, Technical partner, has been appointed as a member of the Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (the "Exchange").

This is a significant achievement showing the Firm's contribution to the development of the Hong Kong capital market. It reinforces Deloitte China's position as a leader in initial public offering ("IPO") services and demonstrates the tremendous value of our quality services to our Hong Kong IPO clients.

Ernest has extensive experience in auditing and providing technical advice on accounting, auditing and governance-related matters in various industries. These include IPOs and various types of transactions that listed companies in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, as well as large international companies, have undertaken, which range from listings on Hong Kong's Main Board and GEM to making secondary listings in Hong Kong and dual primary listings in both Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland markets.

With his wealth of experience in listing companies in Hong Kong, he has recently been appointed as a member of the Listing Committee of the Main Board and GEM of the Exchange. Some of the Listing Committee functions include approving listing applications and cancellations of listing and disciplinary matters, providing policy advice to the Listing Division of the Exchange on listing matters, and approving amendments to the Main Board Rules and GEM Rules.

Apart from that, Ernest specializes in International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") and has substantial experience in standard setting locally and internationally. He was the Chair of the Financial Reporting Standards Committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, responsible for setting financial reporting standards in Hong Kong. He currently chairs Deloitte Asia Pacific Technical Accounting Group on IFRS 15 and is a member of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Global Expert Advisory Panel on IFRS 15.

Other public appointments that Ernest has undertaken are as follows:

• Steering Committee member of the Asian Financial Forum;
• President of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute ("HKCGI") (previously known as "The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries");
• Professional Advisor to the Executive Master of Accounting programme of Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge;
• Convenor of the Financial Reporting Review Panel of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council; and,
• Member of the Services Advisory Committee of the Official Receiver's Office of the HKSAR Government.
