Eric Dugelay appointed Global Leader for Sustainability Services

Deloitte affirms importance of sustainability on corporate agenda

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. (DTTL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Dugelay as Global Leader for Sustainability Services.

Formerly a partner in Deloitte France and the EMEA regional leader for Sustainability Services, Dugelay will devote his full-time activities to the role previously held by Dave Pearson. A senior leader with DTTL, Pearson becomes DTTL Chief Sustainability Officer. Valerie Chort and Keiichi Kubo remain Americas and Asia Pacific Regional Sustainability Services Leaders, respectively.

Deloitte Sustainability Services encompasses a multitude of disciplines, including strategy, innovation, assurance services, consulting, transaction support, and risk services. More than 2,000 professionals globally are devoted to Deloitte Sustainability Services.

Dugelay’s responsibilities will include participating in the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Redefining Value project and representing Deloitte in other important WBCSD roles as well as actively seeking connections between Deloitte’s responsible business leadership agenda and its sustainability business.

Dugelay has 13 years of experience working on sustainability issues. Most recently, he was instrumental in negotiating Deloitte France’s acquisition of Bio Intelligence Services, the leader in France and ranking among Europe’s premier environmental consulting firms.

Dugelay has an MBA from INSEAD (1990). He also has a degree in Engineering from Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité (Supelec – 1986) and a degree in Chinese from INALCO (France National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations – 1986). He is Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Bilan Carbone assessor.
